A National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, NBC-HWC, is someone who is trained in behavior change theories, motivational strategies, as well as health education and promotion theories.
As an NBC-HWC, I partner with my clients in creating sustainable change in the following ways:
Discover, clarify, and align with what you want to achieve.
Encourage self-discovery.
Elicit collaborative and client-generated solutions & strategies.
Hold you lovingly responsible and accountable.
Coaching is not primarily advising clients on how to solve your problems, educating you about what to do, nor analyzing the root causes. While these may occasionally be a part of coaching, they are not the primary purpose or approach. As an NBC-HWC, I take a collaborative rather than a prescriptive approach. I act as a co-creative partner in your journey to reach your visions and goals. Because coaching focuses on helping you grow into becoming a more autonomous expert in their your well-being and personal path, it is a particularly effective mythology when it comes to stimulating individual behavior change
Some of the benefits of working with a board certified health & wellness coach:
Increased self-awareness and self-knowledge.
Increased personal responsibility.
Attainment of both personal and professional goals.
Sustainable behavior change.
Increased life satisfaction.
Increased self-efficacy.
Developed sense of purpose and meaning.
Becoming one’s best. self.
